Gavin and Stacey's Mathew Horne is to star in a new touring production of Rain Man.

Horne will take on the role of Raymond Babbit opposite Ed Speleers (Downton Abbey) as Charlie Babbit. The show opens in Windsor in August, before heading out on a UK tour to venues in Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Southend, Brighton and beyond.

Rain Man is inspired by the Oscar-winning film which starred Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman. It follows what happens when selfish Charlie discovers his long-lost autistic brother has inherited the family fortune.

Jonathan O'Boyle directs the production, which is designed by Morgan Large, has lighting from Jack Weir and sound from Dan Samson. The original screenplay was by Ronald Bass and Barry Morrow and the adaptation is by Dan Gordon.
