HOME in Manchester has announced its new season running from September 2018 to February 2019.

Highlights include a new take on Jean Genet's The Maids (16 November to 1 December), helmed by International theatre director Lily Sykes. The psychological thriller about two maids fantasising to kill their employer is a vicious analysis of the class system and an exploration of gender and sexuality.

A new collaboration between Unlimited Theatre and RashDash called Future Bodies will run from 28 September to 13 October. Created with leading scientists and researchers in the fields of brain implants, smart drugs, and artificial intelligence, Future Bodies imagines the implications of developments in human enhancement technologies.

OthelloMacbeth (14 to 29 September), HOME's co-production with Lyric Hammersmith, will kick off the season. Directed by Jude Christian, the production is a condensed staging of Shakespeare's plays performed by one company on one set.

In October, the renowned Hofesh Shechter Company bring their Show to Manchester for the first time. Composed of three acts, the performance revolves around a group of anarchic performers as they play their parts in a macabre circus of comedy, murder and desire.

In the new year, following their acclaimed show Golem, 1927 return to HOME in February 2019 with their landmark production The Animals and Children Took to the Streets, a vaudevillian blend of theatre and animation.
