Directed by Rachel Chavkin, Eva Noblezada stars as Eurydice alongside André De Shields as Hermes, Amber Gray as Persephone, Patrick Page as Hades with Reeve Carney playing Orpheus. Also cast are Rosie Fletcher, Carly Mercedes Dyer and Gloria Onitiri as the Fates.

The musical is based on Mitchell's concept album, which mixes American folk with New Orleans jazz.

It runs at the National until 26 January ahead of a planned Broadway run.
