Hadestown at the National Theatre: first look at Eva Noblezada, André de Shields, Reeve Carney and Amber Gray

Production images have been released for Hadestown ahead of the musical's London premiere at the National Theatre.

Directed by Rachel Chavkin, Eva Noblezada stars as Eurydice alongside André De Shields as Hermes, Amber Gray as Persephone, Patrick Page as Hades with Reeve Carney playing Orpheus. Also cast are Rosie Fletcher, Carly Mercedes Dyer and Gloria Onitiri as the Fates.

The musical is based on Anaïs Mitchell's concept album, which mixes American folk with New Orleans jazz.

Hadestown has design by Rachel Hauck, costume design by Michael Krass, lighting design by Bradley King, sound design by Nevin Steinberg and Jessica Paz, choreography by David Neumann, musical direction and vocal arrangements by Liam Robinson, orchestrations and arrangements by Michael Chorney and Todd Sickafoose, with Ken Cerniglia as dramaturg.

It runs at the National until 26 January ahead of a planned Broadway run.
