Grease to return to Curve in Leicester

Curve's production of classic musical Grease is to return in 2019.

Announced at the theatre's tenth birthday gala, the production is set to arrive in Leicester in the summer next year.

The production originally opened in 2016, starring Jessica Paul as Sandy and Dex Lee as Danny Zuko. In his four-star review of the show, WhatsOnStage reviewer Andy Plaice called the piece 'loud, clear, colourful and energetic'.

The musical is by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey and tells the trials and tribulations of American teenagers over one summer. It was made into a film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in 1978. Songs included in the musical are "Beauty School Drop Out", "Hopelessly Devoted", "Greased Lightning" and "Summer Nights"

Dates and casting are yet to be announced.
