Casting has been revealed for Welcome to Pemfort at Soho Theatre.

The new play by Sarah Power will run in the venue’s Main House from 13 March to 18 April, with a press night set for 18 March.

Written by Power, whose previous work includes Grud, the play centres on Uma as she attempts to rescue a struggling countryside castle, described as a fort, by staging a Living History event involving chainmail and sword fighting.

The cast will feature Sean Delaney (Killing Eve) as Kurtis, Debra Gillett (The Madness of George III) as Uma, Ali Hadji-Heshmati (Lockwood & Co.) as Glenn and Lydia Larson (You Stupid Darkness) as Ria.

The production will be directed by Ed Madden, whose credits include The Habits. Set and costume design will be by Alys Whitehead, with Victoria Maytom serving as associate set and costume designer. Lighting design is by Cheng Keng and sound design is by Max Pappenheim. The production manager is Tom Davis-Coleman for The Production Family, with Florence McGlynn as costume supervisor.

Casting is by Becky Paris, with Georgina Makhubele as intimacy director and Enric Ortuño as fight director. The company stage manager is Lisa Cochrane, with Abi Morris as deputy stage manager and Charlotte Smith-Barker as assistant stage manager.

Welcome to Pemfort forms part of Soho Theatre’s in-house Main House programme of new writing, which also includes Eoin McAndrew’s Verity Bargate Award-winning Little Brother, David Ireland’s Most Favoured, Miriam Battye’s The Virgins and Dave Harris’s Tender.
