Andrew Lloyd Webber is looking at a Christmas return for Cats to the London Palladium, according to the Daily Mail.

The Lord is also hoping to take his 1981 musical to New York with Nicole Scherzinger, who is playing Grizabella in the current production until 7 February. If a theatre can be secured, it would run on Broadway in 2016.

The show, which is based on T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, features songs including "Memory", "The Rum Tum Tugger" and "Mr Mistoffelees".

The current production at the London Palladium sees Kerry Ellis take over from Scherzinger as Grizabella from Monday, 9 February. It runs until 25 April 2015.
