An original Hamilton star becomes an original Warriors star!

Initial casting has been announced for the Broadway premiere of Warriors, a new musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis. It will begin performances on 9 March at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, in advance of an 8 April opening.
Warriors is based on the Paramount Pictures film The Warriors, the novel by Sol Yurick, and the concept album Miranda and Davis released in 2024. Directed by Jenny Koons and codirected and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, Warriors follows a New York City gang from Coney Island to the Bronx and back when they’re framed for the murder of a respected gang leader.
The Warriors cast will be led by Jaci Calderon (Fox), Aneesa Folds (Cleon), Amber Gray (Ajax), Julia Harriman (Mercy), Sasha Hutchings (Cowgirl), Gizel Jiménez (Rembrandt), Jasmine Cephas Jones (Swan), Kenita R. Miller (Cochise), Sasha Allen (Cyrus), Casey Likes (Luther), and Donald Webber Jr. (Masai).
Folds, Gray, Harriman, Hutchings, Jiménez, Jones, and Miller reprise roles they sung on the concept album; Calderon replaces voice performer Phillipa Soo. Allen, Likes, and Webber take over the roles from album performers Lauryn Hill, Kim Dracula, and Colman Domingo, though Likes sings a different character on the recording.
The production will have scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Dede Ayite, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Jason Crystal, projection design by Hana S Kim, music supervision by Kurt Crowley, and orchestrations by Crowley, Scott Wasserman, and Mike Elizondo.
