Casting has been announced for the Old Vic’s staging of Glengarry Glen Ross.

The production will be directed by Patrick Marber and will feature an all-female cast.

The play, written by David Mamet, premiered at the National Theatre in 1983 and was later adapted into a film in 1992.

Set to star will be Rosa Salazar as Roma and Olivier Award-winning actress Indira Varma as Levene, with Mercedes Bahleda as Lingk, Nancy Crane as Aaronow, Dorothea Myer-Bennett as Williamson, Florence Odumosu as Baylen and Niky Wardley as Moss.

It follows a group of real estate agents competing in a sales contest, where only the top performers are rewarded and the rest face dismissal. The work received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1984.

Marber said today: “Around this time last year I had the good fortune to be directing Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway. It’s a heck of a play to work on; hilarious, profound, obscene – a thrilling story with twists that make an audience gasp.

“It was written in the 1980s but it seems to me to be about our world right now. I’m very excited to be doing it again, this time as a premiere with an all-female cast. And I am honoured to be making my directing debut at the famous Old Vic with Mamet’s mighty play.’

It will run from 4 June to 18 July 2026, with a press night on 17 June.

Marber previously directed a revival of the play on Broadway in 2025, and this production marks his debut at the Old Vic. Artistic director Matthew Warchus is presenting the show as part of his final season at the venue, with all productions staged in the round.

Tickets are on sale now.
