The sold-out Hamlet at the Barbican Theatre starring Benedict Cumberbatch will be broadcast to over 40 countries as part of NT Live.

Lyndsey Turner's production, which runs at the Barbican from 6 August to 31 October 2015, caused unprecedented online queues when tickets went on sale last year.

It will be broadcast in the UK, US and across Europe on 15 October 2015, and will also be shown in countries including Japan – with Japanese subtitles – Brazil, Australia and New Zealand.

As previously reported, there are a number of £10 day tickets for Hamlet, which go on sale on the morning of every performance.
