Georgina Castle, Kate Graham, Sara Poyzer and Jacqueline Braun step up to star in the West End run
The new cast of Mamma Mia! celebrated their first night onstage at the Novello Theatre last night.
TV presenter Bear Grylls joined Andrew Castle and the cast to mark the occasion, which saw Castle's daughter Georgina take the role of Sophie Sheridan.
Castle was promoted from the ensemble and first cover Sophie to the role, and is joined by Christopher Jordan-Marshall making his West End debut as Sky.
The rest of the new cast include Sara Poyzer as Donna Sheridan – who played the role on the UK tour, Kate Graham as Tanya and Jaqueline Braun as Rosie.
Also new to the cast is Bobbie Little as Ali, Harriet Bunton as Lisa, Damian Buhagiar as Pepper and Nye Rees as Eddie, with Caroline Deverill playing the role of Donna Sheridan at certain performances. They join Richard Trinder, who plays Sam, Alasdair Harvey who plays Harry and Dugald Bruce-Lockhart who plays Bill.
Mamma Mia! originally opened at the Prince Edward Theatre in 1999, transferring to the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2004. It re-opened at the Novello Theatre in 2012. The musical features ABBA's songs set within the story of a family living on a Greek island.
Mamma Mia! is currently booking at the Novello Theatre until 3 March 2018.
