Mamma Mia! extends in the West End

Mamma Mia! is to extend in the West End until next October.

The show, which celebrates its 18th birthday in April, will take bookings until 14 October 2017.

Written by Catherine Johnson, the jukebox musical features some of ABBA's biggest hits such as "Super Trouper", "Take a Chance On Me" and "Dancing Queen".

The story takes place on a Greek island where bride-to-be Sophie invites three men who may be her father to her wedding. The musical was made into a film starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Amanda Seyfried in 2008.

The cast currently includes Linzi Hateley as Donna Sheridan, Mazz Murray as Tanya, Jo Napthine as Rosie and Sanne den Besten as Sophie Sheridan.

Tickets for dates between 6 March and 14 October 2017 go onsale tomorrow at 9am.
