The event took place earlier this year in the West End
This week’s episode of Glow Up takes place on the red carpet at the WhatsOnStage Awards.
The much-loved TV talent show’s semi-final will see the remaining make-up artists challenged to deliver red carpet-ready looks for a roster of attending celebrities. The episode marks the first time the contestants have worked on high-profile names under the real-time pressure of a live event.
On top of filming the event at the Awards, Glow Up supported the first ever Best Wigs, Hair and Make-Up Award, presented by series judges Val Garland and Dominic Skinner, at the WhatsOnStage Awards in 2025.
The MUAs were tasked with preparing Amber Davies, Danny Beard, Zeze Millz and Henrie Kwushue ahead of their appearance at the awards ceremony, with photographs from the red carpet later reviewed by the judges.
Joining the judging panel is Buster Knight, make-up artist to Millie Bobby Brown, who is on hand not only to critique but to intervene if any of the MUAs fail to deliver. The MUAs must balance creative flair with practical application, all within the high-pressure setting of a live event.
The episode will be shown tomorrow on BBC Three at 8pm.
