Cast joining Jim Broadbent in A Very Very Very Dark Matter at the Bridge Theatre has been announced.

Johnetta Eula'Mae Ackles (making her professional stage debut), Elizabeth Berrington (Patrick Melrose) and Phil Daniels (This House) will appear in the show, with further announcements to be made.

Martin McDonagh's play, which explores the life and legacy of Hans Christian Andersen (Broadbent), has its world premiere in October. It is directed by Matthew Dunster (who previously directed McDonagh's Hangmen at the Royal Court and in the West End) with design by Anna Fleischle, lighting by Philip Gladwell and sound by George Dennis.

The piece is the second major McDonagh production this year, with a revival of The Lieutenant of Inishmore starring Aidan Turner having its opening night next month in the West End. The writer and director won a number of awards for his hit film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
