Peter Pan at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre: first look
The Olivier Award-nominated production returns to London
Photos have been released offering a first look at Peter Pan at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, ahead of the show's opening this week.
The outdoor piece, which sets JM Barrie's story in the First World War, has a variety of aerial acts and puppeteering, with designer Jon Bausor saying that "the scenery is punished and needs to hold up to the elements, adding a completely different set of demands to the design."
Sam Angell plays Peter Pan in the show, with Dennis Herdman taking on the role of the nefarious Captain Hook. The roles of Wendy, John and Michael are played by Cora Kirk, Theo Cowan and Omari Douglas.
The Olivier Award-nominated production kicks off this year's season at the Open Air Theatre, which continues with The Turn of the Screw, As You Like It and Little Shop of Horrors.
The piece has set design by Bausor, costume design by Jon Morrell, puppet design and direction by Rachael Canning, composition and sound score by Nick Powell, lighting design by Rick Fisher, sound design by Nick Lidster for Autograph, fight direction by Kate Waters, casting by Polly Jerrold and musical supervision and direction by Candida Caldicot.
