Rebus stage adaptation UK tour further casting announced

The stage continuation of the ”Rebus” series opens at the Birmingham Rep in September

Further casting has been announced for Rebus: Long Shadows, the stage version and next addition in the Rebus series from Ian Rankin.

Directed by Roxana Silbert and adapted for the stage by Rona Munro, the piece stars Charles Lawson as the titular inspector. Joining him will be Cathy Tyson (The String Quartet's Guide To Sex And Anxiety) as Siobhan Clarke and John Stahl (''Waiting for Godot) as Big Ger Cafferty.

The show follows Rebus as he is dragged out of retirement by the daughter of a murder victim, while also being chased by ex-colleagues.

The piece has design by Ti Green, lighting design by Chahine Yavroyan and Simon Bond, composition and sound design by Garth McConaghie and casting by Ginny Schiller.

After opening at Birmingham Rep on 20 September, the production will tour to Edinburgh, Malvern, Nottingham, Manchester, Northampton, Aberdeen and Guildford.
