Hollywood icon Al Pacino is bringing his one man show An Evening with Al Pacino to the UK for the very first time. The show will be at the London Palladium on 2 June 2013.

Exploring Pacino's career to date, the show promises to "get up close and personal, sharing private moments with one of the greatest actors of his generation", and will include an on-stage interview, as well as a question and answer session with Pacino.

One of the few actors to have won a Tony, Oscar and Emmy, Al Pacino is well known for his film credits, which include The Godfather, Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface, Glengarry Glen Ross and The Merchant of Venice.

He has won two Tony awards, for his performances in Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? and The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel. Other stage credits include The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui, American Buffalo and, more recently, The Merchant of Venice and Glengarry Glen Ross.

Pacino said: "I am really looking forward to coming to London. I have always felt at home there.  I consider it an honour to be appearing at the Palladium and I will be glad to be back on the boards in your great city."

The show is presented by event organisers and promoters Rocco Buonvino and Teji Singh, and tickets have gone on sale today.
