The Father is transferring to Wyndham's Theatre later this year following its recently acclaimed run at the Tricycle.

Florian Zeller's award-winning black comedy centres on an ageing man with an unreliable memory and his relationship with his daughter and son-in-law.

The production, starring Claire Skinner and Kenneth Cranham, features a translation by Christopher Hampton and is directed by James Macdonald. It originated at the Theatre Royal Bath last year.

Outnumbered star Skinner's recent stage credits include Blurred Lines (NT Shed), Deathtrap (West End) and Mrs Affleck (National Theatre).

Cranham's myriad credits include An Inspector Calls (Broadway), The Cherry Orchard (National Theatre), The Homecoming (Almeida), Entertaining Mr Sloane, Loot, The Birthday Party and Gaslight (West End).

The Father runs at Wyndham's from 30 September to 21 November 2015. The cast also includes Rebecca Charles, with additional casting to be announced.
