Touring theatre company Out of Joint are advertising for a joint artistic director.

The successful candidate will work alongside founding artistic director Max Stafford-Clark and producer Martin Derbyshire.

Stafford-Clark set up the company, which specialises in new writing, with Sonia Friedman in 1993. Last week, the company announced a new writing prize, for new writers already in the theatre industry. The winning entry will receive an £8,000 commission with the company.

The company's recent productions include All that Fall and A View from Islington North. Their new show, Consent, opens at the National in March.

On the job posting Stafford-Clark said: "This is a terrific opportunity for a director to learn how a theatre company works and to benefit from our resources and experience in commissioning, developing and producing new theatre.

"It is also a brilliant opportunity for the company, and I’m excited to begin the process of finding our new colleague, and to our benefiting from their energy and ideas."

Applications are open until 17 February 2017 via the company's website.
