Singer and actress Lulu is to join the cast of 42nd Street in March.
She will take on the role of Dorothy Brock in the piece, which is currently running at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. Ashley Day is also to take on the role of Billy Lawlor, while Tom Lister and Clare Halse continue as Julian Marsh and Peggy Sawyer.
Lulu will be making her return to the West End for the first time in 30 years to join the cast. She starred in To Sir With Love in 1967 at the age of 16 and released the title song from the film which ran at number one in the US for five weeks. As a singer she has worked with the likes of The Beatles, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Cash, while her West End debut was in Richard Eyre's Guys and Dolls.

42nd Street is the revival production of the show which follows the lives of performers as they struggle to make their names on Broadway. The piece has a book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, music from Harry Warren and lyrics from Al Dubin and is an adaptation of the 1932 novel and the 1933 film.
In her review, Sarah Crompton called the show 'the most sophisticated and joyful of backstage musicals'.
The production is nominated for eight WhatsOnStage Awards.
42nd Street runs at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, currently booking until 20 October.
