The production sees the ROH following in the footsteps of the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, who have both had successful commercial transfers including War Horse, One Man, Two Guvnors and Matilda.
Choreographed and directed by Will Tuckett, the production is in its tenth anniversary year, and sees Kenneth Grahame’s classic retold through dance, song, music and puppetry.
Tickets go onsale at 10am today (9 July 2013) for the show, which is described as a “hugely exciting development” for the ROH by chief executive designate Alex Beard.
Will Tuckett said: “It’s a tremendously exciting step and it makes me very happy that this work can now be seen by a whole new audience. This is a real honour both for me and the team who created it”
Full casting will be announced soon.
