Morgan & West: Panicked Packing Pandemonium

Ladies and gentlemen a very good evening to you all. Welcome back to this, the interweb-net diary home of Victorian magic duo Morgan & West. I do hope this entry finds you well, we’re just about managing to wind down for the day and put our feet up after a flurry of activity in the last 48 hours.

It all began one sunny Sunday afternoon with the arrival of Mr. West to the family home in Wales in order to help with packing all of our equipment. Unfortunately what was supposed to be a quick check and bag job, as it were, quickly became a mammoth task of unpacking, checking, re-packing, forgetting something, unpacking again, re-checking, re-re-packing and so on and so forth.

The difficulty (and enormity) of the task was compounded by the presence of two steamer trunks. Those of you unfamiliar with these modern marvels might do well to imagine a large trunk, close to the height of Mr. West and breadth of Mr. Morgan, filled with drawers and a mini wardrobe. One is for clothes, props and the such whereas the other is primarily for tea and biscuits. I suppose we do bring these problems upon ourselves…

Anyway, packing was eventually completed and carefully stacked into our horseless carriage for transportation to our usual abode in Oxfordshire. We’ve now been here for just over a day, knee deep in decks of cards, silk handkerchiefs and white rabbit droppings. That is droppings from a white rabbit, not rabbit droppings that are white.

Whilst I am composing this entry Mr. West is busy creating our latest trick which will debut at the Chortle Fast Fringe on August 4th. To keep us entertained we are watching film footage of our favorite time traveller (who isn’t us) – Dr Who.

Sweet dreams all. Night night.
