Rehearsal footage has been released of the upcoming West End premiere of screen-to-stage musical Kinky Boots, which opens for previews at the Adelphi Theatre on Friday (21 August 2015).

Matt Henry stars as drag queen Lola, the role created on screen by Chiwetel Ejiofor. He's joined by Killian Donnelly (Memphis, The Commitments), Amy Lennox (Lauren), Amy Ross (Nicola), Jamie Baughan (Don) and Michael Hobbs (George).

Kinky Boots is adapted from the 2006 Brit flick about a drag queen who helps an ailing shoe company design a new line of sturdy fetish footwear.

It features songs by pop star Cyndi Lauper, a book by Harvey Fierstein and direction/choreography by Jerry Mitchell.

Kinky Boots opens at the Adelphi on 21 August 2015 ahead of press night on 15 September, with booking opening on 2 March.

The cast also includes Gemma Atkins, Paul Ayers, Jeremy Batt, Arun Blair-Mangat, Marcus Collins, Emma Crossley, Jordan Fox, Callum Francis, Robert Grose, Gillian Hardie, Chloe Hart, Sophie Isaacs, Luke Jackson, Robert Jones, Adam Lake, Catherine Millsom, Sean Needham, Tim Prottey-Jones, Verity Quade, Javier Santos, Dominic Tribuzio, Alan Vicary, Michael Vinsen and Bleu Woodward.
