Álvaro Morte is a Spanish actor, who rose to international fame leading as El Professor in the critically acclaimed Netflix series LA CASA DE PAPEL / MONEY HEIST. MONEY HEIST is still one of the most watched series on Netflix of all time.

Since 2021, Álvaro has starred in the fantasy series THE WHEEL OF TIME for Amazon Prime Video, as Logain Ablar.

Álvaro starred opposite Sidney Sweeney in the horror film IMMACULATE, as Father Sal Tedeschi, and features in the upcoming spy thriller RAQA, and the Warner Bros animated film AZTEC BATMAN: CLASH OF EMPIRES.

Álvaro studied Dramatic Art in the city of Cordoba in Spain, and began his career working actively in theatre.

Álvaro made his West End debut in Bess Wohl’s two-hander play BARCELONA, leading opposite Lily Collins. What starts as a care-free romance between an American tourist and local Spaniard becomes an invitation to danger when the personal and political begin to intertwine. BARCELONA will have a 12 week season at The Duke of York’s Theatre.

Álvaro had leading roles in the Moviestar+ series EL EMBARCADERO (2019-2020) and the Amazon Prime Video historical drama series SIN LÍMITES (2022).

Álvaro has starred in and directed great classics of Spanish theatre with his theatre production company 300 Pistolas, including EL PERRO DEL HORTELANO by Lope de Vega; TRES SOMBREROS DE COPA by Miguel Mihura; LA CASA DE BERNARDA by Federico Garcia Lorca.
