Five Reasons to See … Cabaret in the House
Cabaret in the House is on every Sunday in October and November at Lauderdale House
1) It’s up close and personal. You’ll see some amazing West End stars in our Long Gallery. There’s a maximum capacity of 100 people, so you’re much closer than in the back of a thousand seater central London theatre. And the whole point of cabaret is that it offers a personal insight, so you’ll see them bare their souls and find out what they’re really like. This season includes John Barr, Nicole Faraday, Katie Kerr, Ray Shell, Gabriel Vick and Shona White
3) Each artist chooses their own programme and you can be assured that you’ll hear not only a few familiar and favourite songs, but also some songs you’ve never heard, songs interpreted in a different way, heart breaking ballads and songs to make you laugh.
4) Our support acts are all up and coming professionals. See if you can spot the ones who’ll be taking the principal spot in the future. Sarah Lark who did so well in BBC TV’s I’d Do Anything and is now understudying the role of Nancy in the West End was one of our support acts in October 2004. This season features Alexander Bradford, Rob Copeland, Nikki Gerrard, Elena Rossi and Michelle Whitney.
5) You get home in time for Coronation Street if you’re well behaved – or if you’re easily tempted like us you fall into the pub over the road and never know whom you might meet!
