West End Live will return to London this year, the Official London Theatre has announced.

In its 12th year, West End Live is a free two day festival of musicals and plays from across the West End. Taking place at Trafalgar Square, West End Live entertains more than 500,000 people over one weekend.

This year's event will be held on 18 and 19 June.

Last year's event featured shows including Billy Elliot, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Commitments, The Lion King and Jersey Boys.

Casts perform extracts of shows throughout the day on stages in the centre of London. The shows run from around midday to the evening.

The full line up for this year will be announced in due course.
