
Now in their 79th year, the Tony Awards took place overnight in New York.
A host of British talent were nominated at this year’s ceremony, with some leaving with new trophies for their mantelpiece. You can catch up on winners here.
P!nk hosted the festivities, which returned to Radio City Music Hall, with an opening number featuring over 170 performers. There was also a performance by WhatsOnStage Award winner Rachel Zegler, soon to return to Broadway next spring in Evita, who delivered a special tribute to A Chorus Line, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. Meanwhile, Tony Award winner Leslie Odom, Jr., soon to head to the West End in Hamilton, honoured those lost this year with a performance of “Without You” from Rent, marking the show’s 30th anniversary.
