Leslie Odom Jr

Leslie Odom Jr’s Broadway credits include Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch, for which he received a Tony nomination in 2023.

On screen, he portrayed singer Sam Cooke in the film adaptation of One Night in Miami…, earning nominations for an Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Critics’ Choice Award, Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award. He also wrote, composed and performed the film’s original song “Speak Now”, which received an Academy Award nomination and won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Song. His other screen work includes Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Murder on the Orient Express, The Good Wife, Abbott Elementary, Central Park, Love in the Time of Corona and The Many Saints of Newark.
