Ever wondered which actors have wandered through the corridors over the years or missed that classic production and wished you could revisit it?

Our new Then and Now feature offers you a snapshot into the past to take a look at how different theatres have changed over the years. We're kicking this week off with the National Theatre.

Below are pictures from two productions of As You Like It at the National Theatre, one in 1979 and one in 2015. The traditional 1979 production was directed by John Dexter and features some famous faces including Simon Callow, Sara Kestelman and Greg Hicks. Polly Findlay's contemporary 2015 production starred Rosalie Craig and Patsy Ferran.

If you enjoyed how the National has changed over the years, Concrete Reality: Making the National Theatre is available to buy at the National Theatre.
