The Wanted singer to star in UK tour of Grease

Tom Parker, best known for being one-fifth of the boy band The Wanted, will make his theatre debut as Danny Zuko in a UK tour of Grease.

Parker, who recently finished third on Channel Four's The Jump, will lead the cast of the tour which opens at the Palace Theatre, Manchester in March 2017. Further casting is to be announced.

With songs including "You’re The One That I Want", "Summer Nights" and "Greased Lightnin’", Grease originally opened in the West End in 1993 where it ran for six years at the Dominion and Cambridge Theatres.

The production will be directed by David Gilmore (Happy Days, Footloose) and choreographed by former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips.

Grease opens at the Palace Theatre, Manchester on 10 March 2017, and tours to Oxford, Liverpool, Southend-on-Sea, Birmingham, Southampton, Cardiff, and Llandudno with further dates to be announced.
