New dates have been announced for Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes UK tour.
The ballet is based on Powell and Pressburger's famous 1948 film of the same name, and follows a young ballerina who joins an established ballet company.
Bourne's production opened to rave reviews at Sadler's Wells in December. WhatsOnStage's Sarah Crompton said The Red Shoes was one of Bourne's 'most deeply felt and very best'.
The Red Shoes will now tour to Sheffield Lyceum (30 May to 3 June), Glasgow King's Theatre (6 to 10 June), Wycombe Swan (13 to 17 June) and Liverpool's Empire (27 June to 1 July).
The tour will also see the production visit Woking, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Norwich, Nottingham, Cardiff, Southampton, Bradford, Bristol, Wimbledon, Canterbury, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Leicester.
It has also been announced that the production will tour the US later in the year.
Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes runs at Sadler's Wells until 29 January before embarking on a UK tour.
