So close – yet so far
Mischief marked the 4001st West End performance of The Play That Goes Wrong at the Duchess Theatre on Tuesday 2 June 2025, coinciding with the first performance by the production’s new cast.
The milestone follows the departure of the 10th anniversary cast, who gave their final performance on Sunday 1 June. To mark the cast transition, a new video featuring both the outgoing and incoming companies has been released, alongside updated production photography taken by Matt Crockett.
The 2025–26 company includes Izzy Edmunds-Clarke as Annie, Jack Hardwick as Chris, Robert Jackson as Robert, Jonty Peach as Jonathan, Charlotte Scott as Sandra, Mitesh Soni as Dennis, Tom Wainwright as Max and Ronnie Yorke as Trevor.
According to the production, Winston the dog is also expected to return in the role of Winston, subject to availability. Understudies for this new company are Alex Blackie, Jake Burgum, Kitty Devlin, Louise Hoare and Ed Shamwana.

First performed at the Old Red Lion Theatre in front of four paying audience members, The Play That Goes Wrong opened at the Duchess Theatre in September 2014. It has since run continuously for over a decade, receiving the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy and continuing to perform to audiences in the West End and beyond.
The production is currently booking until August 2026.
