The sell-out hit The Father will return to the West End for a five week run at the Duke of York's Theatre from 24 February 2016.

James Macdonald's acclaimed production, which originated at the Theatre Royal, Bath, played a West End season at Wyndham's Theatre last year.

Florian Zeller's award-winning black comedy centres on an ageing man with an unreliable memory and his relationship with his daughter and son-in-law. The return of The Father will mark his second play to be running in London in February, with The Mother opening at the Tricycle Theatre later this month.

Reprising his role as the Father will be Kenneth Cranham whilst further casting is yet to be announced.

You can read Michael Coveney's five star review of the production here.

The Father will run at the Duke of York’s Theatre from 24 February to 26 March, prior to a national tour.
