Mischief Theatre will have three plays running in the West End for the second Christmas in a row
Mischief Theatre has announced a new cast for its Olivier Award-nominated show The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, as well as an extension to November 2018.
Samuel Fogell and Holly Sumpton will take on the roles of Sam Monaghan and Caprice Freeboys, joined by Laurence Pears as Officer Cooper and returning cast members Jeremy Lloyd and Chris Leask as Shuck and Everyone Else. Completing the cast is understudies Jack Whittle and Lydia Fraser.
Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields' farce is set in 1950s Minneapolis and sees an escaped convict attempt to rob a bank – but everything that could go wrong does. In his five-star review for WhatsOnStage, Mark Valencia called it "the funniest play since Noises Off".
Founded by LAMDA graduates in 2008, Mischief Theatre's other hits include the Olivier Award-winner The Play That Goes Wrong, and Olivier Award-nominee Peter Pan Goes Wrong. This Christmas they will have a third show running concurrently in the West End with their improvised production Mischief Movie Night opening at the Arts Theatre in December.
The Comedy About a Bank Robbery is now booking at the Criterion Theatre until November 2018.
