The Play That Goes Wrong has announced a new UK tour to 35 venues throughout 2018, as well as a West End extension at the Duchess Theatre.

Mischief Theatre's show, which celebrates its third birthday this year, won the 2014 WhatsOnStage award for Best New Comedy, 2015 Olivier Award and a Tony Award for the Broadway transfer. Remarkably, only four audience members turned up to the first show when it debuted at the Old Red Lion in Islington.

The new UK Tour will debut at the Royal and Derngate in Northampton on 4 January 2018, before touring across the UK throughout the year. The West End run will now book through until September 2018.

Founded in 2008 by LAMDA graduates, Mischief Theatre at one stage had three shows on the West End simultaneously, including The Comedy About a Bank Robbery which is currently running at the Criterion Theatre. The Play That Goes Wrong is directed by Mark Bell, with set designs by Nigel Hook, lighting by Ric Mountjoy, sound design by Andy Johnson, and costumes by Roberto Surace.

The Play That Goes Wrong on the West End runs at the Duchess Theatre with booking until September 2018. The UK tour will run throughout 2018.
