Simon Callow will return to the West End this Christmas to star in a one-man production of A Christmas Carol at the Arts Theatre.

Directed by Tom Cairns, the re-imagining of Charles Dickens' festive classic is based on the author's own performance of the novel and returns following sell-out seasons in 2011 and 2012.

Callow's extensive stage credits include Waiting for Godot with Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, and Being Shakespeare in the West End.

The show is produced by Assembly Festival and Riverside Studios, directed and designed by Cairns, with sound design by Ben and Max Ringham.

A Christmas Carol runs at the Arts Theatre from 15 December to 7 January, with previews from 8 December.
