After opening this week to rave reviews, School of Rock – The Musical has extended its run at the New London Theatre until April 2017.

Already a Broadway hit, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Julian Fellowes's stage adaptation of the 2003 film which starred Jack Black, is directed by Laurence Connor.

The London production stars David Fynn in the Black role of Dewey, the lovable loser who takes a job as a teacher in an exclusive school only to discover that his pupils are budding rock stars. Also featured are Florence Andrews as headmistress Rosalie Mullins, Oliver Jackson, Preeya Kalidas and three teams of children who alternate as the talented kids. Gary Trainor plays the role of Dewey at certain performances.
