New productions from BalletBoyz, Jess and Morgs, Dickson Mbi and Christos Papadopoulos are among the works announced as part of Sadler’s Wells’ latest season across its venues in London.

Among the new productions is Deepfake, the first work created by directors and choreographers Jessica Wright and Morgann Runacre-Temple as a company. The production, presented at Sadler’s Wells East from 1 to 3 October, uses dance, film, text and green-screen technology to examine ideas around political truth and media manipulation through an interview between a politician and journalist.

BalletBoyz will mark its 25th anniversary with the world premiere of Six Lethargies from 18 to 21 November. Featuring music by Keaton Henson performed live by a 37-piece orchestra, the production explores trauma and emotional recovery through movement by Michael Nunn and William Trevitt.

Elsewhere, Olivier Award-winning choreographer Dickson Mbi will premiere Tellus at Sadler’s Wells East from 21 to 24 October. Inspired by Mbi’s Cameroonian heritage and the mythological figure Mami Wata, the production features dramaturgy by Simon McBurney and writing by poet Nick Drake.

Following his Rose International Dance Prize win in 2025, Greek choreographer Christos Papadopoulos returns to Sadler’s Wells Theatre with the UK premiere of My Fierce Ignorant Step from 13 to 14 November. The work features ten dancers moving in unison, with breath and rhythm shaping the choreography.

The ballet programme includes Rhythm Riot from English National Ballet, featuring world premieres by Jae Man Joo and Micaela Taylor alongside George Balanchine’s Symphony in Three Movements. Ballet Black will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a double bill including Olivier Award-winning work Ingoma by Mthuthuzeli November and a UK premiere by Hope Boykin.

Birmingham Royal Ballet will revive Peter Wright and Galina Samsova’s Swan Lake at Sadler’s Wells Theatre from 28 to 31 October, accompanied live by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia.

International work in the season includes Cuban Baroque from Acosta Danza, featuring a world premiere by Andonis Foniadakis, and Within from Indian choreographer Aditi Mangaldas, combining classical and contemporary kathak dance. Other productions include Far From Home from Alleyne Dance, Hidden from Motionhouse, The Last Hamlet from Lost Dog, and Vortex from Humanhood.

The second edition of YFX Festival will also take place in July at Sadler’s Wells East, bringing together youth dance performances and events including a takeover by Boy Blue.

The season concludes next summer with the return of Singin’ in the Rain to Sadler’s Wells as part of a major tour. Produced by Jonathan Church Productions, the production previously played the venue in 2021. Casting is to be announced.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on 26 May 2026.
