The Broadway revival of Noël Coward’s Fallen Angels, starring Academy Award nominee Rose Byrne and Tony Award winner Kelli O’Hara, will be screened in cinemas across the UK this October.
The Roundabout Theatre Company revival, directed by Scott Ellis, was filmed live at the Todd Haimes Theatre on Broadway. The production went on to receive five Tony nominations, winning the Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Play.
Debuting in 1925, Fallen Angels revolves around two upper-class wives who, while their husbands are away for the day, share a few toasts to their pre-marital dalliances… with the same man, and he may be en route from France to visit.
Byrne commented: “It was so special to be part of Scott Ellis’s magical revival of Fallen Angels and to have it now be seen by audiences everywhere with Trafalgar’s theatrical release is wonderful. The formidable comedy of Noël Coward is the perfect entertaining escape.”
O’Hara added: “I’m thrilled that this wonderfully funny play will now be seen by theatre fans in cinemas across North America and around the world. Noël Coward was a comic genius and Fallen Angels is a delicious escape into frivolity that we hope audiences will enjoy just as much on the big screen as they did on Broadway.”
Byrne and O’Hara were joined on stage by Tracee Chimo, Emmy Award winner Mark Consuelos (making his Broadway debut), Tony Award nominee Christopher Fitzgerald and Aasif Mandvi.
The creative team included David Rockwell (set design), Jeff Mahshie (costume design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design) John Gromada (sound design), David Brian Brown and Victoria Tinsman (hair and wig design), Claudia Shear (additional material), Mary Mitchell Campbell (music consultant) and Larry Smiglewski (production stage manager). Casting was by Carrie Gardner, Stephen Kopel and Jim Carnahan.
The live capture of Fallen Angels is produced by Trafalgar Releasing in partnership with BroadwayHD and will be screened in cinemas across the UK, the US, Canada, Australia and selected international territories for a special limited run from 22 October 2026.
