The line-up for Latitude 2010 continues to widen with a trio of performances announced for the beautiful Waterfront Stage at the centre of the festival site in Henham Park, Southwold.
Meanwhile, Sadler’s Wells will be bringing a new generation of dance to the Waterfront on Saturday and Sunday night with the new Balletboyz showtheTALENT and ZooNation’s youth company respectively. The eight young dancers in theTALENT have been handpicked by Michael Nunn and William Trevitt to perform an exciting reworking of Russell Maliphant’s explosive Torsion, while ZooYouth will be showing off their own version of hip-hop musical Into the Woods. Sadler’s Wells has yet to announce its Friday night headliner on the Waterfront but rumours suggest it is one of the biggest names in British dance today.
Already confirmed, however, is the cast of American love-rock musical, Hair, who will be performing a 30 minute excerpt from the show which transferred direct from Broadway to London’s Gielgud Theatre last month. And Hair is just one of several musicals to debut at Latitude this year, including Showstopper! The improvised Musical in the Cabaret Arena and Les Enfants Terribles’ Vaudevillains in The Empire Music Hall.
