The award-winning actor will read Wilde’s final work at the exhibition in December
Rupert Everett will appear in Reading Prison next month to give an intimate reading of Oscar Wilde's final work.
The prison is currently open to the public for the first time as part of an art exhibition by Artangel. Wilde was incarcerated in the prison between 1895 and 1897.
A series of public readings have taken place since the exhibition opened in September, and it was announced it would extend its run until 4 December.
Everett will appear on the final day to read The Ballad of Reading Gaol, a poem Wilde wrote in exile in France after his release. The actor is currently filming The Happy Prince, a film about the last years of Wilde's life, alongsid Colin Firth, Emily Watson and Colin Morgan.
