We spoke with West End leading lady Ria Jones following Curve's season announcement, in which it was confirmed she would play Norma Desmond in an upcoming tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard.

The tour will open at Curve in September with further dates and locations to be confirmed.

Jones, whose previous West End credits include Chess, Cats and Les Miserables, played the lead role in the original production of Sunset Boulevard at Sydmonton Festival in 1991. Last year she hit headlines when she understudied Glenn Close in ENO's production of the musical at the London Coliseum.

It was also recently confirmed that Jones will perform at this year's WhatsOnStage Awards concert at the Prince of Wales Theatre on 19 February.

Sunset Boulevard runs at Curve from 16 to 30 September.
