Guests including Pamela Anderson, Mike Leigh, Fiona Shaw and Katherine Parkinson descended on the Coliseum last night for ENO's world premiere of The Winter's Tale.

Directed by Rory Kinnear, ENO composer-in-residence Ryan Wigglesworth's opera is his first for the company, and was described by Mark Valencia as 'a triumph' in his four-star review for WhatsOnStage.

Best known for acting in Shakespearean adaptations, including Othello and Hamlet at the National Theatre, Kinnear made his directorial debut with this brand-new commission.
