The cast of The Bodyguard helped mark the show's first birthday last night (6 November 2013), with the cutting of a celebratory cake at the curtain call.

The celebrations were led by cast member Debbie Kurup, who has been in the show since it opened last year. Also enjoying the festivities were Beverley Knight and Tristan Gemmill, who recently took over from Heather Headler and Lloyd Owen as Rachel Marron and her bodyguard Frank Farmer.

Directed by Thea Sharrock, The Bodyguard is adapted from the hit 1992 film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner and features classic Whitney songs including "One Moment in Time", "Saving All My Love", "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" and "I Will Always Love You".

It is currently booking to 8 March 2014.
