The forthcoming arena tour Peter Pan – The Never Ending Story has been postponed until December.

The tour was due to open at Manchester Arena next month (16-18 August 2013), before visiting venues including Wembley Arena, Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena, The NIA Academy in Birmingham and SECC, Glasgow.

Produced by Belgian company Music Hall, the show is billed as a “hi-tech fantasy adventure that combines the drama and excitement of live theatre with the epic visuals of a blockbuster movie”.

The soundtrack includes chart hits by the likes of Robbie Williams, Seal and Rod Stewart.

Geert Allaert, CEO of Music Hall, said: “After careful consideration, we have decided to move the UK tour to dates across December and January allowing us to move the Glasgow date back to The SSE Hydro, giving customers the opportunity to see the show in Scotland’s brand new arena. We were also keen to add new cities to the tour but venue availability for this summer wouldn’t allow us to do so.”

The cast features former X Factor contestant Stacey Solomon in her theatrical debut as Tinker Bell.

She said of the role: “Singing and performing is a huge passion of mine and to be asked to be one of my children’s favourite characters is such an honour, I can’t wait to see their faces when I come flying out on stage.”

Ticket holders for the summer tour are advised to contact their point of purchase.

The new tour dates are:

Birmingham NIA, 13-15 December 2013
Nottingham Capital FM Arena, 21-23 December 2013
Leeds First Direct Arena, 26-27 December 2013
Manchester Arena, 29-30 December 2013
London Wembley Arena, 2-4 January 2014
Glasgow The SSE Hydro, 10-12 January 2014
Newcastle Metro Radio Arena, 15-16 January 2014
