Last week, Robert Icke told The Stage that he walks out of shows "all the time". This promoted WhatsOnStage critic Alun Hood, who has had a recent change of heart on the matter, to ask "is it ever OK to walk out?"

You got in touch in your droves to let us know your thoughts. Of the 2,486 responses to our poll asking if you'd ever left a production during an interval, 1,468 answered "yes."

Despite this, a huge number got in touch on Twitter and Facebook. to tell us that you don't see anything wrong with leaving during the interval, and many of you have.

Some have done it more recently than others (any guesses which show this particular comment is referring to?)

Sometimes, leaving the production simply isn't enough for some people.

Have you ever left a production early? Let us know over on Twitter and Facebook.
