Thom Southerland’s production opens for previews on Friday
Producers have announced a last minute cast change for the new production of Grand Hotel at Southwark Playhouse.
Philip Rham has withdrawn from the production, which opens for previews on Friday, because of a family emergency. He will be replaced by David Delve, whose West End theatre credits include Squeers in the RSC’s Nicholas Nickelby, Thenadier in Les Miserables and Mr Sowerby in Oliver!.
On the last minute change, producer Danielle Tarento said: "We wish Philip well and are thrilled to welcome to the production the fantastic David Delve to take over and play Colonel-Doctor Otternschlag. We thank David enormously for stepping in at such short notice."
Directed by Thom Southerland with choreography by Lee Proud, the full cast for Grand Hotel is: Christine Grimandi, Scott Garnham, George Rae, Victoria Serra, Jacob Chapman, Valerie Cutko, Jonathan Stewart, James Gant, Charles Hagerty, Paul Iveson, Rhiannon Howys, Jammy Kasongo, Ceili O’Connor, Durone Stokes, Samuel J Weir, Leah West.
