The multiple Tony Award-winning musical will arrive in London next year, the director told WhatsOnStage
Talking at this morning's press launch of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell told WhatsOnStage that his production of Kinky Boots will make its UK premiere in the West End next year.
"It will be sometime in 2015," Mitchell told us, adding: "We are in talks with a number of theatres at the moment. Cameron (Mackintosh) is heavily involved, having invested in the Broadway production."
The hit show, adapted from the 2006 Brit flick that starred Chiwetel Ejiofor as a drag queen who helps an ailing shoe company design a new line of sturdy fetish footwear, won six Tony awards last year including Best Choreography for Mitchell.
