Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Joe Keery, Alison Janney, Ed Harris and Lily Rabe set for Other Desert Cities on Broadway

A Broadway revival of Jon Robin Baitz’s 2011 play Other Desert Cities is set for Broadway.

The show will open at the Hudson Theatre, beginning on 29 September in advance of an 18 October opening night. The limited engagement will end on Sunday 17 January 2027.

John Benjamin Hickey will direct the drama, which is set to feature an all-star cast led by Julia Louis-Dreyfus in her Broadway debut, alongside Ed Harris, Allison Janney, Joe Keery, and Lily Rabe.

In Other Desert Cities, a novelist (Rabe) returns home after a six-year absence to celebrate Christmas in Palm Springs with her parents, former members of the Reagan inner-circle.

When she announces plans to publish a memoir focusing on an explosive chapter in the family’s history, the holiday reunion is thrown into turmoil.

The original Broadway production featured Stockard Channing, Stacey Keach, Judith Light, Thomas Sadoski, and Rachel Griffiths.
