The BBC has confirmed professional dancer Johannes Radebe is part of the new hosting trio for Strictly Come Dancing.
Radebe will take over the presenting duties in September 2026 alongside television presenter Emma Willis and comedian Josh Widdicombe, following the departures of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman at the conclusion of 2025.
The appointment follows his debut in musical theatre, where he is currently performing the role of Lola in Kinky Boots at the London Coliseum until 11 July 2026. This engagement follows his time spent performing the same role in the touring production across the United Kingdom and Ireland, which began in January 2025.
Prior to this, Radebe completed solo theatre tours including Freedom and Freedom Unleashed, productions that focused on dance routines.
Radebe joined Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer in 2018. The announcement occurs during the current run of the Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi Lauper musical, where Radebe performs alongside Matt Cardle as Charlie Price and Courtney Bowman as Lauren, with Tosh Wanogho-Maud as alternate for the role of Lola.
